How are you involved in agriculture?
"Both my parents and grandparents raise cattle. My dad has raised and shown pigs. I started showing pigs in 4-H when I was five. I show steers and horses. I have a four-year-old Quarter horse I show in Western Pleasure. I also have two show calves that are Chia-Maine and Angus cross."

Why did you choose that breed to show?
"The Chianina is for height. The Maine Anjou gives them thick hair. Angus puts it all together and for the overall look I wanted to show."

What does growing up on a farm mean to you?
"Living on a farm teaches a lot about life. It is good life experience and work experience."

What is your favorite memory?
"My favorite memory is showing a pig at the state fair in showmanship with my friend Dustin Dixon. We were both in the top five. I got third out of over a hundred entries. We both stayed in the competition until almost the end."

What is the toughest thing about being raised on a farm?
"Keeping up with all the work."

What do you want in the future?
"I hope to compete at district and state with my steers this year. I would also like to be a finalist at youth world with my Quarter horse. I would like a future in agriculture and am thinking about going to Oklahoma State. I’m not sure what field I want to go into yet but, it will be something in agriculture."
