Name:  Kylee Sigmon
Family:  Parents Mike and Lisa Sigmon, brother, Logan
Groups:  North Polo Pioneers 4-H Club, Carroll County 4-H Beef Club, Arkansas Junior Cattlemen’s Association, Arkansas Junior Simmental Association, American Junior Simmental Association

What animals do you show?
"I show mainly Simmental heifers. I have a bull this year and a steer. My steer is a cross. My bull and my heifer are both purebreds."

What show awards have you earned?
"At Agri-Day this year I got Reserve Grand Champion heifer and at the Teresa Warren Memorial Jackpot Show, I got Grand and Reserve Simmental. Last year at Agri-Day, I had a Grand Champion steer, and Reserve Grand Champion steer at county."

What are your responsibilities on the farm now?
"Right now, I have 15 in my own herd. I take care of the four show animals in the barn and most of the time I feed the other ones while I’m helping my dad feed the cattle that we have on our 300 acres.
If they got sick and had to go to the vet, I’d go with them. If he’s treating them, I’m usually there. I help in getting them up and bring them in, help him treat them."

What do you see as your future in agriculture?
"When I get older I’d like to be a school teacher, but outside of that, I’d like to have my own herd of cattle and possibly be a judge at jackpot shows."
