COLUMBIA, Mo. – Golfers competed for charity at the fourth annual 4-H Foundation Clover Classic Golf Tournament, June 4 at the A. L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia.

Sponsors were Monsanto and Great American Insurance Group-Crop Division.

“We are thrilled with the great support shown by our 4-H Foundation friends and partners for the Clover Classic Golf Tournament,” said Cheryl Reams, Missouri 4-H Foundation executive director. “Everyone had a great time while raising funds in support of the MU Extension 4-H Youth Development program, and we look forward to next year’s tournament.”

John Raines, co-chair and ambassador for Monsanto Company, welcomed and challenged players to compete on behalf of Missouri 4-H youth. Teams from across the state met and exceeded the goal. Prizewinners of the Champion Flight were “Team 21” and “Mid-America Mortgage.” A-Flight winners were “Long Shots” and “N.H. Scheppers” teams.

Foursomes teed off under the banner of hat sponsor Osborn Barr. Clover Classic Platinum Sponsors were CenturyLink, FCS Financial, 4-H Director Ina Linville, Novus International and Paul Rainsberger.  Premium Sponsors included DuPont Pioneer, Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance of Iowa, Joplin Veterinary Hospital, MFA Inc., Rain and Hail LLC-Midwest Division and George Thomas.

Players enjoyed a luncheon courtesy of Missouri Pork Association, MFA/Break Time, Lutz’s Famous BBQ, Sara Lee and Wal-Mart Associates. N.H. Scheppers Distributing Company was beverage sponsor.
