Ingredients:

2 Tbsp butter

1 C brown sugar

2 C diced rhubarb

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 C shortening

1 C sugar

1 egg

2 C sifted flour

1 C milk

Directions:

Melt butter in a skillet or heavy baking pan. Add brown sugar and rhubarb. To make batter, cream shortening and sugar together, add egg and beat. Sift salt, baking powder and flour together and add alternately with milk. Pour batter over rhubarb and bake at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes.
