Ingredients:

1 C. corn meal

1 C. flour

1/2 C. sugar

4 Tbsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 or 2 eggs

1 C. milk

1/4 C. shortening

Directions:

Sift together dry ingredients. Add milk, well-beaten eggs and shortening. Bake until firm. Note: I bake this in a greased cast iron pan.
