Company History:  In 1973, James R. (Dick) Latta purchased the assets of a  small company to begin what is known today as Latco, Inc.  Under Mr. Latta’s direction, Latco has grown into an international company specializing in agricultural construction and equipment. In 2001, Chris Primm became President of Latco, Inc. Today, Latco specializes in total poultry house construction from the dirt work to being ready for chickens with “Everything but the birds” being the slogan.

Products and Services: Latco does residential and commercial wood trusses and wall panels, they build and equip poultry houses and have retail stores for poultry parts and service. Latco is the largest poultry equipment distributor for most of the major manufacturers in the poultry industry.  Latco carries all major lines including Choretime, Cumberland, Big Dutchman, Diversified, Plasson, Rotem, Ziggity, Hired Hand, Reeves, ACME and others.

How do you stay ahead of the competition?
    "Latco, Inc. engineers every house we build for the area of the country it is in.  We stay focused on energy efficiency in all new houses and in retrofitting older ones, giving customers options for the latest and best in energy savings. We are constantly spending time and money on research and development, working with all major poultry universities to help stay on the cutting edge of technology and production. We have helped develop a closed cell foam product for poultry houses to greatly enhance energy savings."
